KYLE'S FIRST HORSEY RIDE!

We bought a rocking horse from Costco a while back and Kyle is just showing an interest in it. Every morning and after every nap we have to go for a "horsey ride" before moving on with the day. But as for real horses, he has always been a bit nervous-for a while he was down right terrified! Cried any time we'd see one! But I guess the cows have helped expose him to big animals so when we visited our friend & employee, Kathy's, horses he was right in there with the big guys. As for actually sitting on one....well, he was OK on the well-named Patience for about 30 seconds. Then he realized how high up he was and wanted down. But he went right up to the sweet baby foal, Precious, and even petted the big beautiful stallion!

BABY HORSE BY OUR HOUSE

We have a foal (baby horse) in the pasture just above ours. I think it's about a month old now. Very cute and reasonably friendly!

SATELLITE PUP

Well, we took Peanut in for his "operation"-snip, snip-and all went well, though he got fitted with a doggy "lamp shade" to keep him from scratching his cheek where they also removed a mole. He's supposed to wear the thing for 10 days which I thought would be impossible but it does not seem to bother him. He functions completely normally with it. We are also supposed to keep him "quiet"-no running, jumping, etc. for 10 days. YEAH, RIGHT! He is a 4 month old Jack Russell. I think he stayed quiet for all of an hour!
