We were lucky to have 2 birthday parties for Kyle's 2nd birthday in March! The first one was with our playgroup and all the little kids had a great time beating an Elmo pinata filled with toys and trinkets, eating cupcakes with day glow frosting and blowing bubbles! Interesting note on the pinata-when the toys came out, the boys almost universally went for all the bouncy balls while Lily, the only girl, completely ignored the balls and went for all the plastic bracelets, with no coaching from us. The toy dinosaurs and whistles on a string were all but ignored (until the kids figured out the whistles made noise!). In the end, the boys each had at least one bouncy ball and Lily had ALL the bracelets. Everyone was happy and high on a sugar rush after the cupcakes!
